Objective: Students will learn three basic parts of speech, including nouns, verbs and adjectives by filling in the blank.
Materials: Part of the speech video, stopwatch, worksheets
Activity: Show video, brainstorm, hand out worksheet; give students 5 min. to complete worksheet, another five to discuss results; have students share.

COLORING CHRISTMAS

Age Group: lower elementary school kids [1st-3rd grade]
Objective: Identify Christmas, specifically family Christmas traditions
Activity:
Students will watch a short video and discuss a few of their family Christmas traditions
with the class. Lastly, Students will take the printed out holiday
stockings and draw then color their own favorite family/Christmas
traditions
Materials: Projector for short video, Printed out stocking template, Crayons, and pencils
Assessment:
Will be based upon effort/participation. Students must take the time
and participate in the
coloring of the stocking.

Why:
This helps student to learn what Going On In The World And Why We Celebrate veteran’s Day !

Veteran's Day: Cam
Cam's activity was perfectly timed, as today is Veteran's Day.
It was a great way to reflect on how much we have to be thankful for.
The hangman was very fun as we haven't played it in such a long time.
Suggestions:
We wished he focused on the history of Veterans and the qualities it takes to be a soldier.
