Students' Comments on Mini-Lessons

Origami

Likes:

How we used different hand skills to do the origami
Different: I will say more information about origami history

Suggestion:

While this activity was very fun and engaging, we would have liked to see more detailed instructions that were given to each student so they could move at their own pace and Shannon wouldn’t have had to answer so many questions.

Spanish

Likes:

We really enjoyed this activity. The video was interactive, and the activity got students out of their seats. The words were not to advanced, so it would be great exercise for introducing students to Spanish.

Crossword:

Likes:

All of the background information she gave us.

We also liked this lesson but would probably use it for high schoolers as the PowerPoint requires a fair bit of attention and was fairly dense. The crossword is a fun way to review the information that was different than just a review sheet.

 Suggestions:

However, we might try to make this powerpoint a little more interactive to keep the students interested.

2.
Different: i would do a more interactive activity
