FRIENDSHIP BRACELET

      LESSON PLAN


Objective: students will be able to exhibit fine motor skills, dexterity, and attention to fine details in creating a friendship bracelet

 Activity:
·         Students will begin by cutting their desired colored strings to an appropriate length
·         Students will knot the difference pieces of string together and tape the top notch on the table, ensuring that it sticks.

·         Next, students will watch the lecturer demonstrate the technique involving making a 4 and pulling the loop around the rest of the thread.

·         Students will continue to use this technique until the bracelet is at the desired length.

Materials:
·         Embroidery thread
·         Scissors
·         Tape

Assessment:
·         Instructor can assess the use of technique for every student
·         Mainly focus on the effort and desire to learn the technique
·         Also focus on the dexterity of the student and how well they paid attention to the activity explanation

Age Group: 7 y/o +

SPEED LADDERS

Level:
6 graders 

Objective: 

Use speed ladders to help students develop athleticism and improve mental retention. 

Activity:   
1.Break into 5 groups  
2.Teach students about the importance of movement  
3.Teach students about the importance of memory retention  
4.Show students the speed ladder  
5.Then teach the students two ways to improve athleticism and memory together.   6.Students then tryout speed ladder 

Materials:

Assessment:  

Afterwards each student will describe how they could apply the speed ladder into their routine  and how it might benefit them.

 HOW TO BECOME A WAVER

      LESSON PLAN

 Objective: The objective of this lesson plan in to inform and measure the audience’s ability learn and retain how to properly moisturize and brush ones hair for maximum wave results. 

Age Group: Jr High school- High school 

Materials:  materials needed to maintain healthy hair while training ones hair to lay down in either a 360 spin cycle or 720 spin pattern.

Activity: 
 Demonstrate hair care routine for students.

Demonstrate how to tie a durag, which lays down hair overnight while you sleep. 

Assessment:

Questions: Which are the steps of securing waves.

Analysis: The students were greatly indulged in the lesson plan, and judging from the feedback and questions the lesson plan was easily received by the students. Those who participated in the durag tying did excellent and everyone was engaged during the instruction of this lesson.
