Creativity: Site Specific Performance
Sir Kenneth Robinson is a British author, speaker and
international advisor on education in the arts to government,
non-profits, education and arts bodies. He was Director of the Arts in
Schools Project and Professor of Arts Education at the University of
Warwick, and is now Professor Emeritus at the same institution. In the following introductory video, Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for
creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines)
creativity.

TODAY'S WORK
Students were able to scout the campus and find sites where they wanted to do site-specific performance. Team members Sydney F., Cole, Sydney K. and Shannon used the vending machine area to create their site-specific performance as they interacted with it in different ways. Here Sydney F, is expressing her affection for the vending machine.
Team members Natalie, Julia, Megan, Susana, Rachel, chose the railing to create a message using gestures. Here, Julia shows part of their site-specific performance.
