Drawing: First Individual Lesson Plan


Drawing is the art or technique of representing an object or outlining a figure, plan, or sketch by means of lines.


TODAY

Using the Naïve art principle, usually defined as visual art that is created by a person who lacks the formal education and training that a professional artist undergoes (in anatomy, art history, technique, perspective, ways of seeing); students created their own drawings. 


Based on their own experience drawing, they created their own individual lesson plan. Up until this point, they had only written group lesson plans.

    I really enjoyed this lesson plan because it helped me create a plan through art and creativity. I was able to draw out what I wanted to teach in a way that was helpful and conducive to all types of students.

Dance: Cuban Comparsa

A comparsa is a group of singers, musicians and dancers that take part in carnivals and other festivities in Spain and Latin America, specifically in the Caribbean. Its precise meaning depends on the specific regional celebration. The most famous comparsas are those that participate in the Santiago de Cuba's carnival. Havana's Carnival 1962. First Socialist Carnival in Cuba. Conga-Comparsa Dance Routine - Grupo BanRara - Havana Cuba 2013 ----------------------------------------------- Today  Students were able to learn the main steps of Cuban comparsa in celebration of the Hispanic Month. The desks were move aside to make room for the dancers. The dance was accompanied by conga music.
